Communication Compass (Assignment One)

The definition of digital communication is any electronic exchanging of information.

Four advantages for digital communication are:
1- You are connected with others
2- You know whats going on in the world
3- You can meet new people
4- You can search for information you don't know
Four disadvantages for digital communication are:
1- You are always on your digital device
2- You will lose sleep
3- You don't have as much privacy
4- You have a risk of people finding out personal information

I think that the three most popular forms of digital communication are:
1- Facebook
2- Texting
3- FaceTime
I think that these forms of digital communication are popular because you can talk to someone in the click of a button.

Three forms of digital communication that I think may not be around much longer are:
1- Facebook
2- Email
3- Texting
I think that these forms of digital communication might not be around much longer because there are so many knew sites that you can chat to people on.

Five locations or scenarios in real life where you really SHOULD NOT be communicating digitally are:
1- In class because you wont be paying attention
2- At a funeral because you should pay your respects
3- At a restaurant because you should pay attention to your family
4- At work because your not supposed to be on your phone or websites
5- A life threatening event. Don't go on your phone for help

One great danger would be when people cyber bully or harass online. This can lead to injury or even death.
Another great danger is if somebody attacks your character such as blackmail or scams.

I do believe that human kids will always be more connected to digital communication because I see kids today that are 9-12 with iPhone's in their pockets.

If somebody that has Facebook and other digital communication sites passes away I think that their account should be left alone because it was their account and no one should have access to it.
