The First Newspaper

When I look at the first ever newspaper and compare it to the ones you I today, they're very different, but also have their similarities. The first thing I notice is the way that 'Publick' is spelled. There is also no pictures or bold headings. However the  pages look similar to the ones we look at and read about now. These are the similarities and differences that I noticed.  

No, I do not completely think the government should have that much control over what news should be, but I do believe that they should have some control because I think they should have some sort of say on why is going to publicized. In my opinion the news is about important things that are going on in the world. Sometimes the government doesn't want certain things to be out there, but they should be said. This is probably one the main reasons why the government wants to have a part in it. 

I think it is critical to the government, businesses and etc. We need to see the hidden side of these things. People don't want to hear everyday their favorite store or restaurant has something wrong with it or how your local Mayor did something he wasn't supposed to do. I believe that the people who buy and support newspapers, help from getting the paper shut down. People need to see the real side of things and organizations. 

No, I was not surprised that the first newspaper was published in Halifax. I was not surprising because Halifax has a pretty big population and there was also probably a lot of people that liked the organization and wanted to support it.

Be True To Your School

My picture shows what a Blackville school bus would look like. It represents the school because it has the logo on it. I did not find anything challenging about this assignment. No I do not any interest in doing digital art. I am not a computer person. No, I would never do auto detailing as a job. It is way to frustrating.

Before The War

I chose to edit this picture because it look like it was the easiest one to edit. The part that was most challenging was having to blend in spots that were missing. Also I had to clone his hair, because it was cut off. No I have never retouched a photo because I just never really thought of having to edit them. No I would not want to do this as a job because I get to frustrated while doing this.

Freak of Nature

I selected a Cat and a Squirrel because they of my two favorite animals. I found this whole assignment challenging. I was very frustrated throughout all of it. Nothing was easy about this. My creation looks very photo-shopped. It does not look realistic at all. No i have not used photo editing software before. Mostly because it is to frustrating for me.

Automobile Body Styles

Coupes- Coupes are often the sporty types of cars. The doors are reduced from 4 to 2.The coupe body style ranges from car maker to car maker. There are now even four-door coupes like the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class. ‘Coupe' comes from the French verb ‘couper'. This means ‘to cut'. An example of a two-door coupe is the Audi A5.

Convertible- A convertible, is a body style with a retractable roof. These cars often have canvas roofs, though today these are also made of plastic, aluminium or steel. Convertibles are usually two-door cars. An example of such a car is the BMW Z4.

Pickup- A pickup is a light motor vehicle with an open rear cargo area known as a ‘bed'. They are extremely popular in the US. Pickup also applies to coupe utility vehicles, where they are based on a car chassis or a dedicated platform. Pickups are called ‘utes' in Australia and New Zealand. They are often available with two or four doors for the passengers. An example of a pickup is the Tata Xenon.

SUV- An SUV, means 'Sports Utility Vehicle', is similar to an estate, but usually bigger and higher off the ground. SUV's are often offered with four-wheel-drive and are designed for both on- and off-road use. Some have the towing capacity of a pickup, and offer the passenger carrying capacity of a minivan or large sedan. An example of an SUV is the Ford Endeavour.

Hatchback- A hatchback is a car with a sloping back and a hinged rear door that opens towards the sky. These cars range from SUVs, MPVs or vans. They are usually much more compact. Hatchbacks usually have seating for four to five people is most likely a tight squeeze. An example of a hatchback is the Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Part Two of Two

Automobile Design

1. It takes ten years to design a car and they start off with the sketching phase that is mostly done on the computer.

2.  Design is called problem solving because they have to find a design that is pleasing to everyone with no flaws.

3. The feasibility stage is when they take their sketches and make sure they can actually be done and match up with the engineering. This is the largest part to designing a car and is where all the negotiating comes in play.

4. I don't think designing an automobile would interest me because it's a very stressful job and you need to be creative with your ideas.
